Tintite

Babbitt lining lifting away from the box has been a common cause of bearing failure. Where the lining pulls away from the back there is danger of closing the clearance followed by metal to metal contact with result of bearing running hot.

Tintite overcomes the difficult obstacle of tinning bearing shells, in bronze boxes as well as cast iron or steel.
